About Me

Ever since I was six years old. I can remember being drawn towards creativity.  From making glorious mud pies in my fathers  vegetable plot in Devon to putting
on plays with friends using my mothers net curtains as the stage door. Throughout my School years I attended workshops for gifted  artists which was an amazing experience. This then lead onto me getting into  Plymouth College of Art & Design where I qualified & specialised in my final year in Jewellery Design.

After working in various industries & living abroad for a few years. I returned and took up my passion for jewellery again by attending The Oxford Summer
School.

Since then I have enjoyed combining both traditional silversmithing skills with the unique freedom of Japanese Art Silver. A whole page could be written on why I just love this exciting medium of work, but it is suffice to say that I adore the freedom of expression it allows when creating jewellery that is hard to mimic using sheet
metal.

I can often be found beachcombing during all seasons on my favourite coastal spots in Devon & Dorset. There is such a treasure box of goodies right in front of every step, shells, driftwood, shards of rock & pebbles, coloured glass. Even the textures of sand & seaweed.

Back at my home in Oxfordshire there are different places of interest, the ripple of the surface waters of the River  Thames. The historic woodlands which are home to a wonderful carpet of bark and  leaves.

I try to incorporate as many natural  textures directly into the surface of each ring giving it as real a look to nature as you can get. This also means that each ring has it's own story and is  incredibly unique.
